At Beyond Indigo, we believe that a custom-designed, fully functional website is an excellent way for funeral homes to expand their markets and extend the services they provide to families right into their homes. We have designed a Website Pyramid to show the different levels of websites available to funeral directors. Template websites are a great entry level website that allows the funeral home to get a foothold on the web. The template website program fits between levels two and three on our pyramid.

The template website program is designed to help funeral homes not currently on the web to develop some presence on the web quickly and with a small cash outlay. It provides simple, well-designed sites that provide basic information about the funeral home -services, directions, contact information and obituaries, but without the various "to-do" items which set our custom sites apart. Some add-on options, such as a grief library and domain registration service would be available for an extra charge.
All Websites include these features:
- Server space: All sites will be hosted on Beyond Indigo servers. FD has the option of purchasing his/her own domain and pointing it to the server or using our Domain Concierge service.
- 2 Gigabytes of data transfer per month
- Up to 20 email addresses
Package One: An eight-page site with the following:
- Home Page: A home page that includes a photo, a small text area and a list of current obituaries.
- Service Page: A services page that provides information about basic services - text submitted by the funeral home. Layout for these pages is fixed by the template design.
- Pre-Planning Page: Pre-Planning page includes information about pre-planning and pre-payment of services. Pre-packaged text is included or the text can be submitted by the funeral home. Layout for these pages is fixed by the template design.
- Obituary Page: Includes listing of obituaries and obituary search/browse form.
- Directions: driving directions and maps to be submitted by the funeral home.
- About Us: single page with information about the funeral home. Text submitted by the funeral home.
- Administration Area: An administration area where they can make and edit obituaries, read help information and access web-based email and standard server-based statistics packages.
- One free advertisement: An ad ready to be put in the newspaper advertising their new website.
Package Two: Package one plus:
- Grief Library: Grief support library of 10 articles related to grief support. All template customers receive the same library.
- When in Town Page: A single page listing hotels, florists, restaurants and other amemeneties for customers to use when attending an out of town funeral.
Extra Options
- The Domain Concierge Service: Beyond Indigo will purchase a domain name which will be fully owned by the funeral director through a registrar site of our choice and point it to the domain. All the funeral director has to do is give us a list of domain name choices (in case the first choice is unavailable) and we will do the rest. We will also assist in renewal for as long as the domain is active on our server.
- Editing of text: A professional editor would look over the text that has been submitted and make changes so the website looks clean and professional. Highly recommended.
- Graphics Editing: If pictures need to be clearer, different sizes or various shapes we have a graphics editor on hand to make the website look sharp. Highly recommended if no graphics/photo experience.
- Logo Creation: Some funeral homes need a new logo. We can create new logos giving the funeral director three choices to choose from for his/her logo. This can then be uploaded to the site.
