Businesses come in all shapes and sizes. The larger multi-location funeral homes, associations and businesses, such as Beyond Indigo, would fit into this top level of the pyramid. This size of business serves a larger population and sometimes needs different ways of keeping track of the visitors to their website. Databases can be utilized at this level. This might include an association website where you could search for a town and find all the funeral homes in that town. This level of website requires one hundred percent customization to reflect the needs of the individual business/association. Usually all "To Do" items mentioned previously are used as well as the addition of custom applications that are specially built for you. The benefits and limitations of this level are:
Benefits
- Full customization
- Many "To Do" items are included, some of them custom to your business
- Quick changes can be made often, if needed, to keep your business "current"
- Dynamic pages keep your content fresh and new
- A vibrant place to list and disseminate information
Limitations
- More start up time is required to ensure the site uniquely supports your business - more thought and effort is needed on your part as the business owner as well
- Commitment is needed in order to make the site an active part of your business process and you have staff to answer the questions from the site
- Increase in cost to start up the site and maintain it
The price at this level is on a quote basis. This is necessary because the level of customization is tailored just for you in order to meet the need of your business and those you serve.
In conclusion, we would like to remind you again that the vendor you chose should recognize that each business is unique, and therefore, will have different requirements. In the pyramid above, notice that "one size" does not fit all! If you are aware of your budget and ask questions carefully of the website development vendor, you will be able to choose the website that suits your business. Be aware, as well, that as your knowledge base grows, and your business expands through your web presence, you also can expand your website to another level. In addition, be an informed consumer, and ask a potential vendor about the latest research and trends so that you will have a website that does not become obsolete quickly and have to be rebuilt in a short period. Think of your website as a twenty-four hour a day employee that never takes a vacation. This employee is worth paying well, as it is constantly building a relationship with your current families and future clients.

Our philosophy is to serve as we would want to be served and in this small way our web site is an extension of that philosophy. It's what we are all about. It's another way to reach out and touch people long after the service is over.
